Typical Gas Characteristics

[edit]

The flue gases from a coal power plant have various compositions and impurities depending on factors such as the type of coal fuel, local impurities (such as sulphur) and treatment systems (such as selective catalytic reduction to reduce NOx)

Table XXX outlines examples of known flue gas CO2 concentrations and compositions from coal power stations around the world.
