Transport of Carbon Dioxide
Appearance
Transport of Carbon Dioxide refers to any system that moves CO2 between a capture facility and a storage facility.
There are four primary types of CO2 transport:
- Pipeline transport (gas/dense/supercritical phase)
- Ship transport (liquid phase)
- Truck transport (liquid phase)
- Rail Transport (liquid phase)
Each transport system has it's advantages and disadvantages, surmised in the table below
